Free CV templates
A good CV template takes the layout work off your hands and makes sure the important information sits where recruiters look for it: contact details at the top, then your work history in reverse chronological order, followed by education and skills.
Our templates are deliberately restrained. They rely on clear typography and calm spacing rather than gradients or playful graphics that look out of place in many industries. Every layout is free to use, and you can switch between them at any time without re-entering your details.
Which template is right depends less on taste than on the role. If you are applying in a classic environment – public sector, banking, law, industry – a sober layout is the safe choice. In creative jobs a CV may show a little more personality, as long as the structure stays clear. When in doubt: a shade too plain beats a shade too colourful, because what gets read is the content.
